The core affinity should reset back to default once the program closes, try the usual fixes, delete the clientregistry.blob file and restart steam to force any updates. Always do that before hitting...

Im also having this issue. I tried deleting the blob file with no luck. Just another bad start for Black Ops on PC :S

Same with me and three of my m8s, treyarch should find a way to let people know if the servers are not working

Sorry for late reply, That did not work. It fixed it for 2 maps then it broke again. I am currently unable to play multiplayer because of this problem
